The launch date for the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite has been announced!

Nothing, the mysterious tech brand, went against the grain and announced its new smartphone almost immediately. The rumors about it proved true, and it’s now confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite, expected to be the brand’s most budget-friendly model, will be unveiled just two days later, on October 29th.

Compared to Nothing’s weeks of cryptic teasers, this rapid announcement came as a surprise to tech enthusiasts. The first teaser image was released today, and the phone will debut on Wednesday. This sudden launch coincides with the device’s leaked initial sales date of November 4th.

The leaked specifications and pricing information for this new model, which will target the affordable segment, offer important clues about the device’s positioning. The Phone (3a) Lite is expected to come in a single variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Color options will be the brand’s signature black and white.

The device is said to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset with four 2.5 GHz Cortex-A78 cores and four 2 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The GPU will be a Mali-G615.

While the device appears to run Android 15 in Geekbench tests, the Lite model is likely to also run Android 16 out of the box, as Nothing has begun rolling out Android 16 to existing Phone (3a) users.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite’s price appears to be attractive to budget-conscious users. Leaks suggest the phone will launch in France for €249.99 (approximately $290), while rumors suggest the price could be as low as €239.99 in some European markets. For comparison, the standard Phone (3a), the next-generation model, started at €349.99. This suggests the Lite model will be a strong contender in terms of price/performance.

It’s not yet known whether there will be any changes to the Glyph Interface, which reflects the brand’s trademark transparent design language. However, based on Nothing’s past line, it’s safe to say the minimalist and transparent aesthetic will be preserved. The teaser image, which features a flashing light on the back of the device, suggests that a version of the Glyph Interface may also be included in the Lite model.
